TAFEM
Food preparation, cooking, and storage station for post disaster temporary shelters.
After disasters such as earthquakes , many people live in temporary shelters or tent camps. While centralized field kitchens provide large-scale food distribution, they do not support the everyday needs of individuals and families. People in temporary shelters often need a way to prepare small, simple meals independently within limited space. Existing solutions are usually improvised, unorganized, or not designed for temporary living environments. This project explores the design of a compact and portable cooking system that allows individuals or small groups to prepare practical meals safely and efficiently inside temporary shelters.
